Restoration Project
A REAL PIECE OF DRAG RACING HISTORY!
Our 1969 front engine dragster was built and raced by legendary builder and racer, Harold Wilson, from Wichita, Kansas. Harold won the 1969 World Finals in Kansas City, Kansas (T/F with a blown hemi), beating Don Garlits in the final. He built the chrome moly chassis to run in a Junior Fuel Class. Our dragster is #7 out of 16 that he built during that time.
The dragster had spent all of its time in Kansas until 2001 when it moved to Virginia. The car came to Pennsylvania in 2005 and was raced a few times. We purchased the rolling chassis in 2007 and began the restoration, maintaining the original steering wheel and nostalgia tail light.
